Touch screens? We knew it was bound to happen. Deadmau5, this years hottest producer/dj, has already been using a $3,000 touch screen Lemur for all of his effects during live sets. How long before we see a worldclass dj on touch screen tables?
So what do you think? Is technology destroying the art of dj'ing or improving it? I can't remember the last time I saw a Dj hauling his crates to a booth and more and more dj's these days are switching to digital. The technology has grown by leaps and bounds over the past 5 years.
As technology continues to grow it can only expand our horizons as artists, producers, and dj's. Sure, dj'ing now is absolutely nothing like it was a decade ago. Good. I wonder what new genres, trends, and sounds are on the horizon? I can't wait to see where the next decade of house music takes us!
